Hidden

Can't you see?
Only, it's hidden isn't it?
Lots of you will catch on.
Everybody else will be confused.

And they will say, why didn't he reveal?
But I did.
But don't give it away either.
Oddly enough,
This is it.
That is all.

The Traveler

In the dark, a distant cry
a single tear slid from his eye
and he left the things he needed most
and passed them up, alone at last
he no longer would know
the friends and neighbors of his youth.
To walk the weary trails of life
he started on his path of hope.
The cobblestones would feel his feet
the trees would see his story through
and the birds would listen to his tune.
Of course at last he would return
and every stone would be changed.
He would not know the peoples faces
and would only remember the far off places.
His final journey he then would take
to a new place and not return.
He could not come back
with new stories to tell
but the new road led on
and he was alone.

Questions on fear.

Why do we care.

Why do we feel.

Fear is a drop of black water in an ocean of multicolored emotions.

It's the darkest, most obfuscated, scary emotion.

It's causes hearts to race and judgement to slow.

It makes people do strange things, but why?

They are afraid.

What is it???

What makes people afraid of a non poisonous spider crawling across the bridge of their nose?

Why do they jerk away quickly when their toes creep out from the blankets and hang an inch or two over the side of the bed?

Why do they run away as fast as they possibly can when going up a dark stairway, in their own home?

Where do these all come from?

And how could we create them?

If we could create a system to make people have irrational fears, could we solve many of the world's problems unethically?

Like giving people an irrational fear of eating fast food.

Or being on time?

Or committing crimes?

Or littering?

That's almost how speeding tickets are.

Whenever you are speeding or not wearing your seatbelt, there will be a cop there. Guaranteed. Every time.

We could harness the power of fear and create a perfect society.

Or what if we went the other way around and made fears go away?

How may more people would die every year?

Now everybody is going to think I'm a crazy person, but just think about it.

Life

Young people say it is long.
Old people say it is short.
Little kids say it is a box of cereal.
People who see death say it is fleeting.
Robert Frost said, "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on."
Life is like a box of chocolates.
So what is it.

We can enjoy life.
We can lose life.
We can make the most out of life.
We can do what we want with our life.

Life
Is
Confusing.

Life
Is
Hard.

Life
Is
Lonely.

Life
Is
Everything.

How to be original (but not too original)

1. Spontaneity is the key to originality.

2. Every morning do something different. Don't follow the exact same routine every day. Take a break from the monotony.

3. Change your hairstyle every two weeks, but not so drastically that people freak out.

4. Wear clothes from DI, or clothes that make you feel like people are looking at you (even if they aren't). Often times, thinking that others are watching you will spawn spontaneity or make you act differently.

6. Look at what hipsters do, and then don't do it. (Hipsters think they are original, but they are just following a trend. If you also become hipster, you will be following the hipster trend, thus unoriginal)

5. Break rules, but not the ones that will get you in lots of trouble.

7. Put your pencil on the paper and write for ten minutes without stopping. Don't write about something, just write. It may not make any sense but it'll help your creative juices flow.

8. Say whatever comes to your mind. Also helps creative juices. (Don't say the inappropriate things though, just the random ones)

9. Whenever writing a list, switch 5 and 6 because it might help you break from the OCD monotony.

10. Try to imagine what others might be expecting you to say, and then say the opposite.

11. Be different, do what your parents tell you to do.

12. Take really long showers and think about the most random stuff you can.

13. Ignore everything that people tell you is original because if you follow it, you will be unoriginal (including this list)

14. Before doing something, think, Would an average human do this, this way? If the answer is yes, do it a different way.

15. Before doing something, think, If I did this, would people judge me? And then you must carefully IGNORE THE ANSWER COMPLETELY GOSH DANG IT, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT PEOPLE THINK WHEN YOU ARE BEING ORIGINAL.

16. Never ever write in all caps because that's tacky.

17. Make people laugh

18. Make people cry.

19. Ignore everyone on the entire planet.

20. Contradict yourself.

21. Surprise people.

22. Make every day things into really big deals.

23. Only have the number of items in your list be a prime number because people will be like "Seriously? They couldn't have ended on a five or at least an even number??"

23. Never repeat yourself.

24. Put the milk in the bowl before the cereal.

25. Bake bacon and cook cookies.

26. Remember the Alamo

27. Every idea is worth writing down.

28. Grow a moustache not a mustache. Mustaches are creepy and moustaches are classy.

29. Watch entire seasons of your favorite TV shows in one week or less so that you can fully immerse yourself in the world.

30. Do your homework on time so you have more time to be original.

31. Pretend you are going insane and gauge people's reactions. If they seem to like you more, you weren't a fun enough person before.

32. When on the brink of running out of ideas, google the most random thing on the internet to spur creative juices.

33. Make cat posters and give them to random people you don't know.

34. Go to the store and try to scare the cash register person with the things you are buying.

35. Never repeat yourself.

36. That's all. (And for those of you who though that I didn't follow rule 23, go back and look at 20, and then realize that I actually put two 23's so it would be 37 items which would be prime, thus contradicting myself by not contracting myself.
